Young Food Spirit learning activities held at organic farming communities in Nonthaburi Province and the Mae Klong Estuary Camping Area in Samut Songkhram Province
Fifteen student leaders 🎓 from the Faculty of Public Health at Ratchaphruek University, together with faculty members and community networks 🤝, participated in the Young Food Spirit learning activities held at organic farming communities in Nonthaburi Province 🌱 and the Mae Klong Estuary Camping Area in Samut Songkhram Province 🌊.
These activities were part of the Food Spirit project, supported by the Bureau for the Promotion of Media and Cognitive Health (ThaiHealth) 💚. The project aims to cultivate a “food spirit” in young people, helping them appreciate the value of food—from the source of production 🌾, to sufficient consumption 🍚, responsible management of leftovers ♻️, and connecting food to health, the environment, and culture.
Participants engaged in a variety of activities using the Food Spirit Modules, such as:
✨ Food and Life Streams 💧
🧘♀️ Mindful Eating
🥘 Mother’s Food Memories
🔍 Food Ecosystem Analysis
🐟 Learning the Way of Life of Fisherfolk
As a result of these activities, participants developed deeper understanding and more positive attitudes toward responsible food consumption. They are now able to apply this knowledge in their daily lives 🏡 and have been inspired to drive positive changes in food practices within their communities 🍴✨.
