An Overview of the Exchange Circle: “Co-Caring for Food and Communities”
Organized by the Food Spirit Project, this gathering took place on May 9th, 2025, at the Chulalongkorn University Social Innovation Center 🌿. The event aimed to strengthen “The Universe in a Rice Bowl” network by nurturing awareness of the food system through heartfelt and meaningful dialogue 🤝.
The exchange circle brought together participants from diverse backgrounds—pioneers cultivating food systems with consciousness in Thai society 🌱, communities that value participation in food-related practices 🏘️, and young changemakers creatively sparking civic engagement around food ✨. Stories, inspiration, knowledge, and practical skills were openly shared, creating space for mutual support, deep connection, and collective growth. The long-term vision includes building a robust network that fosters food consciousness in model communities, especially through ongoing collaboration with youth 👩🌾👨🍳.
🍲 This session was part of the Food Spirit Network Forum, held on May 9–10, 2025, in partnership with the Political Economy Center at Chulalongkorn University. The forum serves as a platform to connect grassroots movements driving food system transformation, grounded in the ideas of “food as commons” and “co-care.” These frameworks highlight spiritual awareness 💫, community relationships ❤️, and structural change 🛠️—together envisioning a food system that is just, sustainable, and alive 🌾🌍.
